First and foremost, I'm a musician. I started on drums (age 6), picked up keyboards (organ and piano around 11, then synthesizer in high school), and now play bass and guitar as well. I write a lot of music; some for a living, some for my band, some just because. I'm also a sound designer, and have done sound and composed music for over 100 titles in the game and edutainment industries...that means video games ;-)
I'm also one-half of the progressive, experimental duo Gravity Tree. We have 2 CDs out so far (and some vinyl before that if you can find it), plus a massive back catalog of songs to suggest they'll be more releases in the near future. I'm also working on a solo project, because I write music that doesn't work in Gravity Tree necessarily, and won't fit or hasn't been requested for a game. But I like the stuff and have some crazy ideas about incorporating my sound design into it, so I'm putting that all out there as well. Music is meant to be shared.
I've done quite a number of live shows as a musician-for-hire (at one point averaged more than 200 shows a year), and some session work and production for a few records no one's heard of. I've also written music for a dance company, an art installation, some websites, a few industrial films, a couple of animated shorts, and other things musicians and composers do, who make a decent, sometimes lucrative living - but aren't famous.
